Jane Mitchell Courses are run at a variety of locations either in Sutton, Surrey or Lydd, Kent.

The Teacher and Therapist courses cover a range of subjects useful to Teachers and Speech and Language Therapists who are working with children and students who have speech and language difficulties, or specific learning difficulties.

The Student courses over the Summer cover Study Skills and are individually tailored over one or two days at the appropriate level for each child/student.

The courses are run for small groups of participants to enable each learner to gain the most from their investment. We have found that the small group and opportunity to ask questions makes transfer and generalisation from the course back into your work easier.

CALSC - Communication and Learning Skills Centre

The main objective of CALSC is to help students of any age to achieve their goals, whether that be to learn to talk, read, spell or study to pass Common Entrance, GCSE, A-Level, degree or professional examinations. All students studying for exams can learn techniques to increase their efficiency and effectiveness in revision and examinations. Skills such as improved memory, organisation, self-motivation, confidence and speed reading can be taught. We believe that with appropriate input and motivation people can be helped to reach their potential.

Jane is especially interested in developing teaching materials and memory techniques. Products that CALSC uses are available for purchase. These products can be seen and bought at conferences, exhibitions and on courses run by CALSC. Further details are available at www.calsc.co.uk
